Abby Benham, RDN
My name is Abby Benham. I am a part of the clinical dietitian team at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I also assist with inpatient clinical support at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. I was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Central Arkansas and completed my dietetic internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas last January to start my career path. I work in General Medicine, Surgery, and Intensive Care. One of the reasons why I love being a dietitian is to help others with recovery and to provide insight to those who need it most. Educating others about the importance of nutrition is my passion.
Abby is currently providing virtual support for all of our students, if you would like to set up an appointment, contact her by email any time or to set up a meeting during her weekly office hours: Tuesdays 1pm-1:30pm
Danielle Farmer, RDN
My name is Danielle Farmer, and I am the lead dietitian at Mercy Joplin. I grew up in St. Louis, MO, and later moved to Fort Worth, Texas to complete my Bachelor's degree at Texas Christian University. I moved on to complete my Master's degree at Missouri State University. I have been a dietitian for 3 years now, spending most of that time working in the hospital, and more recently in our Oncology outpatient clinic. One of the many reasons I love being a dietitian is the understanding and implementation of foods and micronutrients that can make large impacts in critically ill and everyday people.
Danielle is currently providing virtual support for all of our students, if you would like to set up an appointment, contact her by email any time or to set up a meeting during her weekly office hours: Thursdays 2pm-2:30pm
